About Membership

Support the Institute that represents you and the conveyancing profession and strives to maintain and improve a wide range of services that benefit both Members and the community.

The AIC is the peak professional body for conveyancers with more than 1500 members nationally. The SA Division represents over 330 registered conveyancers located across the state. We offer comprehensive consumer advice, represent the professional interests of registered conveyancers, and play an important role in the continuing development and education of our members.

The Institute's vision is "To foster, promote and advance the Conveyancing profession" and at the 2007 Annual General meeting it was voted that the vision could be better acheived by opening up membership to those working in or having an interest in being kept up to date with industry news. This includes Water Traders, Lawyers, Accountants, Real Estate Agents and Banks and staff working within these businesses.

By encouaging a wider range of organisations, that work in these related industries, to be members we have a the opportunity to create a greater understanding of conveyancers and conveyancing work and to foster understanding and best practice through ongoing professional development and education.

To ensure that Registered Conveyancers retain control of their Institute voting rights will only be given to Ordinary Members, Fellow and active Life Members.

Member Benefits

The AICSA provides a wide range of opportunities to keep you up-to-date and informed.

Our services include professional development (including conveyancing and business topics), newsletters and bulletins, the SA Conveyancer magazine and an advisory service.

Other benefits include use of the Institute's contract and forms, a copy of the Practice Manual, peer support and networking opportunities and more. See more information below.

Fee Structure

Our services are consumed by businesses. The business entity will pay fees calculated on the size of that business, (see table below detailing the business categories). Each business can *Nominate people (see number in table below) to receive the Institute's services.

Only Members can be nominated by the business to receive information and services on their behalf so each person nominated should be a member or wish to become a member. If the nominated person is not currently a member they can apply for membership in the usual way. See below for details.
