About the Institute

The Australian Institute of Conveyancers SA Division (AICSA) is the peak body in South Australia representing the conveyancing profession. Using a member conveyancer is your best guarantee of ethical conduct, expert advice and professional service.

Our "Ordinary" members are fully qualified and legally registered; they are subject to our Code of Conduct; and they all carry professional indemnity insurance to protect you, the consumer.

The countless rules and regulations governing property transfers are constantly changing - our professional development program, and regular news bulletins and magazine enables your conveyancer to understand and keep up-to-date with the latest requirements.

Many conveyancers work independently or run small businesses; others may be employed by firms of conveyancers or solicitors. Whatever their situation or location, you can have confidence in the professionalism and integrity of an AIC member. All Registered Conveyancers in South Australia must meet rigorous registration requirements and are registered by the Office of Business and Consumer Affairs.

Education

Professional Development Program

We have a comprehensive Professional Development program available to all (members and non-members).

Bi-annual conference

We run a two day conference bi-annually so our members can enjoy an intensive training program including the opportunity to network and learn from fellow conveyancers.  The AIC National Body hold a bi-annual conference on alternate years where SA conveyancers may learn more about national issues and policies.

Affiliate organisations

The AICSA has links with other organisations involved in the property profession. We conduct training sessions for the Real Estate Institute and the Law Society on conveyancing topics and liaise with these and other organisations on a range of issues as they arise.  See our links page for more information about these organisations.
